Our Environmental & Planning Team is widely experienced in providing advice to public authorities, individuals and companies on all aspects of planning and environmental, administrative and European law.
Our team has defended judicial review claims for over 20 years on behalf of public bodies in relation to planning decisions, development plans, and emissions licences, including at Supreme Court and Court of Justice of the European Union level.
We provide practical and strategic advice to clients on the performance of their statutory functions, including licensing and enforcement functions, freedom of information and planning decision-making functions.
We have successfully enforced environmental and planning laws from the District Court through to the Supreme Court, including prosecutions under environmental, planning and water legislation and injunctions under the Waste Management Act and Environmental Protection Agency Act.
We also advise private clients in relation to all stages of the planning process, from the project conception stage through to oral hearings, the appropriate implementation of planning permissions and management of any litigation arising, including judicial review.
