Projects & Advisory

Our specialist Project & Advisory Team understands the complex statutory frameworks within which public bodies operate and the challenge of providing exceptional service delivery with limited resources.

The team provides advice and delivers projects to our clients that are designed to legally proof and improve statutory and administrative processes and procedures. At the forefront of the team’s work is the drive to deliver solutions, minimise risk, reduce costs and increase efficiencies for our clients.
This is achieved through:

  • Scoping and delivering projects to achieve process improvement and implement change across key statutory functions.
  • Carrying out audits of public bodies’ decision making, processes and procedures to identify key areas of risk while proposing possible solutions.
  • Delivering training programmes specifically designed for statutory bodies and their employees to support them in carrying out their statutory functions.

The team has delivered projects and results to a range of statutory bodies in the health and social care, financial, education and legal sectors across a number of areas including:

  • Complaints procedures;
  • Process improvement;
  • Legal audits and advice;
  • Decision making of committees, board and councils;
  • Governance and Codes of Conduct;
  • Law reform and legislative amendments;
  • FOI and data protection;
  • Enforcement and investigations; and
  • Processes and procedures for oral hearings and inquiries;

The Project & Advisory Team works seamlessly with our in-house experts across our Public & Regulatory, Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Data Protection & FOI Departments to provide public sector clients with comprehensive and bespoke solutions to their particular challenges.

Sharing our strategic knowledge gained through working with public sector clients is at the forefront of the team’s practice. Regular legal updates are provided by the team at client seminars and on the Public and Regulatory Blog.
