The Government’s legislative programme recently published by the Government Chief Whip sets out 28 bills which will be given priority during the next Dáil term.

Among the legislation to be prioritised is the proposed bill to reform the coroner’s court. Our previous blog in relation to the proposed Coroners (Amendment) Bill 2017 can be found here.

Other bills for priority publication include the Civil Liability (Amendment) Bill providing for periodic payments in catastrophic injuries claims, the Judicial Appointments Bill and the Public Health Alcohol Bill.

The government’s press release on the legislative programme can be found here.
